HOW TO STORE HEATED GEAR BATTERIES UNTIL THE NEXT WINTER?

Lithium batteries for all the heated gloves and heated socks we sell are made of high-quality materials that will last for several seasons - as long as they are used and cared for properly. This applies not only to the apparel itself, but also to the lithium-ion batteries that power each gear.

Lithium-ion batteries have very specific storage guidelines that, if not strictly adhered to, will result in damage, poor performance and/or greatly reduced life. In order to protect your batteries during periods of low or no use, you must take the steps listed here.

Store your lithium-ion batteries in a cool, ventilated, dry place out of direct sunlight. Storage temperatures should generally be between 23°C and 28°C. Prolonged exposure to high temperatures is guaranteed to negatively impact your battery, rendering it inoperable the next time you need it.

Disconnect the battery from the equipped gear.

Do not allow the lithium-ion battery or associated wires and charger to come into contact with water or any type of liquid.

For long periods of non-use, it is recommended that you recharge the battery once every 2 months. If storing a lithium-ion battery for more than 90 days, be sure to open it, run it for a while, and recharge it to 30%-50% before returning it to storage.
